MS Files page

Use the MS Files page to create, move, and delete MS data files and folders and to download an application for automatic file uploads. Supported MS data file formats are .d, .d.zip, .mzml, .raw, .wiff, and .wiff.scan.

To open this page, expand Data Files button Data Files on the sidebar menu and select MS Files.

Toolbar items

  • Link to Plate — (Available when one or more files or folders are selected.) Select to link the selected files or folders to a plate when setting up an analysis. See Link to plate and set up an analysis.

  • Select Space — Select a specific Space by which to filter table items. See Filter a table.

  • Move button Move data files — Select to move MS data files to a different folder within the same Space or in another Space to which you have access. See Move MS data files and folders.

  • New button New — Select to add a new, empty folder.

  • Upload button Upload — Select to upload individual data files. See Upload MS data files.

  • Download Log button Download data files — Select to download one or more data file or folder. See Download MS data files or folders.

  • Refresh button Refresh — Select to refresh the table.

  • Start Date — Set the earliest creation date for the files you want to view.

  • End Date — Set the latest creation date for the files you want to view.

  • Last Uploaded — Select a filter the list to show only those files created or uploaded within the last day (1D), last five days (5D), or last month (1M). To clear the active filter, select it again.

  • Menu button Menu — Select to rename or delete the selected files or folders. See Rename MS data files and folders and Delete MS data files and folders.

  • Uploader button AutoUploader — Select to download the Seer® AutoUploader application with which you can automatically upload new MS data files to PAS. You may find it a more convenient means of uploading a large set of files rather than using the Upload button Upload button. See Use the Seer® AutoUploader application to upload MS data files.

Table columns

The breadcrumb above the table shows the path to the selected folder whose contents are listed in the table. To switch to another folder in the path, select its link in the breadcrumb. To return to the top-level folder within the selected Space, select Home button Home.

  • <checkboxes>  — Use to select or deselect individual table items. To select all items in the table, select the checkbox in the title row.To clear the checkboxes for all items in the table, select the title row's checkbox again.

  • Name — Initially shows the top level of folders into which data files are organized. Select a folder to view its contents.

  • Space — The Space to which the file or folder belongs.

  • Filepath — Shows the location where a file or folder is stored.

  • Date — Shows the date the file or folder was added to PAS.

  • Time — Shows the time the file or folder was added to PAS.

  • Size — Shows the disk size of the file or folder.

  • Download button Download — (Available only for files.) Select to download the selected file. See Download MS data files or folders.

  • Delete button Delete — Select to delete the selected file or folder. See Delete MS data files and folders.
